About Crazy Horse Leather
Crazy Horse leather (also known as Mad Horse leather) is made from first-layer cowhide through a complex tanning process. It is not polished, sprayed, or molded, which preserves the natural texture of the original hide. As a result, each bag may have minor scars, spots, folds, or grain variations - these are not defects but the authentic hallmarks of genuine first-layer cowhide.
- The surface may show slight floating color when new. Avoid pairing with light-colored clothing during initial use.
- A mild leather scent is normal and will gradually fade with use and ventilation.
- The leather develops a richer, more polished appearance over time with regular use.
Care and Maintenance
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water. Wipe dry immediately with a soft cloth if wet.
- Keep away from sharp objects to prevent surface scratches.
- Apply leather conditioning oil periodically to maintain the leather's suppleness.
- Store in a cool, ventilated area when not in use.
- Use a dry cotton cloth to clean and polish metal hardware.
